About

(Dis) equilibrium

Chloe Lennon’s work explores the concept of (dis)equilibrium in our world, looking at how we connect—both physically and emotionally—with the land around us. Her work reflects on the gradual destruction of natural ecosystems, exploring humanity’s long history of exploiting landscapes as industrial resources. By contemplating the breakdown of harmony between humans and the earth, her work serves both as a celebration of the land’s beauty and a reflection on our eroding bond with it.

Meet the maker

I grew up in the midlands of rural Ireland near Athlone town. In 2016 I graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin with a BA (hons) specialising in ceramics. After this I moved to London where I worked in the studio of porcelain installation artist Valéria Nascimento for 4 years. In early 2021 I set up my own ceramic studio at home in rural Ireland.
